Campaigning
The evolution of CDP as coordinating secretariat for a network of NGOs had played a role for the organization to continue capacity building of the grassroots level NGOs/CBOs and maintain network approach for program implementation and policy advocacy. Since inception, CDP has been maintaining a trustworthy horizontal and vertical relationship with community as well as with the grassroots level NGOs/CBOs for advocacy dialogue, sharing experiences and developing common vision.
CDP has been maintaining Sustainable Agriculture Forum for promoting eco-agriculture and conserving indigenous varieties of rice and other crops produced in the Coastal Region.
CDP had conceived the idea of People's River Commission (PRC), comprising Civil Societies from Bangladesh, India and Nepal. CDP has capacitated 15 NGOs on human Rights and governance issues and supported 17 NGOs of the CARE RVCC Partnership Project in SW Bangladesh as the resource organization.
From its inception Coastal Development Partnership has been organized various events, mass mobilizations, Day observations & grass roots mobilization on various social, environmental and economic issues. Among those some important are-
- Regional workshops on Biodiversity Conservation of Sundarbans;
- Observation of World Environmental Day
- Observation of Earth Day
- Observation of Women’s Day
