Community Development and Eco-Livelihood (CODEL)

The Community Development and Eco-Livelihood (CODEL) put emphasis on increasing social capital (quality and depth of relationships among the community members) and human capital (competence to create and re-discover local resources for livelihood survival) without squandering natural capital (Biodiversity & Ecosystem) incorporating community knowledge partnership as the guiding principles.

4.2 Eco-Livelihood
  • Developing Alternative Livelihoods for Shrimp Fry Collectors: The project was implemented by the support of DFID in 2000.
  • Supports to the Working Children to Increase The Enrollment in the Non-formal Schools in Khulna City: The project is funded by Winrock International Institute for agricultural Development of USA to build up the capacity of the non-formal schools, run by NGOs to increase the enrollment of the working children.
