Digital Innovation & ICT Management (DIIM)

The Coastal Development Partnership (CDP) firmly perceives that access to information; ideas and examples stimulate intellectual freedom and safeguard individual democratic values, consequently those knowledge empowered person act as human rights activist by opposing or any form of censorship or intellectual anarchy against information poor people. However, the capacity of rural poor to make informed decision-making by using the information provided is depends on their ability to identifying and understanding appropriate type, quality and quantity of information. Moreover, delivery mechanisms and appropriate institutions to facilitate knowledge sharing at a local level through the development of community knowledge partnerships are virtually absent. CDP through a decade long experience of managing information have realized that the management and distribution of digital-based scientific information and knowledge resources by the aid of information and communication technologies (ICTs) is a prerequisite to enhance access and sharing of knowledge resources among the stakeholders on both the global and national scale.
