Human Rights Promotion (HRP)
Since inception in 1997, Coastal Development Partnership has been addressing the deep-rooted, structural causes of poverty as well as the symptoms (lack of basic needs) through Rights-based approach. CDP considers the demand for and realization of rights as the key mechanism for securing basic needs and reversing poverty and injustice at a sustainable, lasting basis. CDP fosters local initiatives and communitys participation.

An Initiative to strengthen peoples Movement to Ensure Economic Justice: This ongoing 4-year project supported by the Action AID Bangladesh will be accomplished at the end of 2008.

Prevention of Child & Women Trafficking: Coastal Development Partnership by its own funds and initiatives has been working for ensuring the child rights and womens rights, specially for prevention of child and women trafficking, through conducting awareness creation programs, collecting, preserving and disseminating information.
Awareness Campaign on HIV/AIDS: Coastal Development Partnership has developed an Information Corner for creating awareness on HIV/AIDS. |

Ensuring Democratic Rights of the Munda Community of Southwest region of Bangladesh through proper enrollment in ongoing voter list funded by The Asia Foundation, 2008
Participatory Action research with the Munda Community of Satkhira District to establish their rights for empowerment funded by RIB (Research Initiative Bangladesh). 2005
- CDP developed ''Indigenous People's Resource Corner'': To feed this corner regularly, CDP scans and compiles daily news papers, collect reports, publications, CDP conducted some field level investigations etc.
- CDP compiled information on "Bunos of Jhinidah", "Aborigines of Southwest" and "Livelihood of Indigenous peoples of Southwest Bangladesh".
- Two issues of the bulletin "Adibashi Barta" was published containing the information on indigenous people of the Southwest region. CDP also supports to publish "Munda Barta"
